The indicator reports the percentages of villages--within a district, province or national boundary area--wherein the majority of households in that village uses gas or LPG as primary fuel for cooking. The data are taken from Village Potentials (Podes) data from 1996-2019.
The Podes data suggests that in 2019, around 74% of villages throughout Indonesia had the majority of its households use gas or LPG as primary fuel for cooking activities. This number is a significant increase as compared to the preceding 10 years--where in 2008, there were only 3% of villages that used gas/LPG as primary fuel.
