Proportion of agricultural worker is based on Indonesia's classification of occupation (KBJI). The data are taken from labour force survey (Sakernas) from year 2013 to 2020 and are expressed in percentage form. The series taken from Sakernas is based on Classification of Occupation (KBJI) 2002.
Nationally, the proportion of agricultural worker is decreasing between 2013 and 2020. It has been 4% decrease in that span. In 2013, the proportion was about 18% while in 2020 it drops to 14% of agricultural worker. In the most recent year, Papua records the highest proportion at 45%, followed by East Nusa Tenggara with 32% of people work in agricultural job. As it is clearly seen, Java Island has the lowest percentage of agricultural worker in 2020. While Sumatera and Sulawesi Island seem to be the highest locus of agricultural worker.
