The indicator reports the frequency of theft crime per 10.000 population. The data are taken from the National Socionomic Survey (SUSENAS) data.
On a national level, in 2019, there are around 128 cases of theft per 10.000 people. This number is about 5% lower than in the previous year which recorded 135.7 cases of theft per 10.000 people. Provinces with theft crime incidence of 200 or higher include Kalimantan Utara (285.37), Papua Barat (259.93), Nusa Tenggara Barat (244.68), Bengkulu (231. 04), and Sulawesi Tengah (202.72). Meanwhile, the province with the lowest theft crime incidence is Jawa Timur (84.70).
