The percentages reported in the tabulation are the district-wide, province-wide and nation-wide percentage of villages that had access to 4G internet signals. Data are taken from Statistics Indonesia's Villages Potential (Podes) data from 2018-2019.
In 2019, more than 1 out of 2 villages in Indonesia had access to 4G internet signals. DKI Jakarta reports the highest percentage of villages with 4G signals, with around 95% of villages in the province having access to the 4G signal. This is in contrary to provinces Papua and Papua Barat; only around 17% and 6% of villages in Papua Barat and Papua (respectively) had access to 4G signals. Consistently, districts in Eastern Indonesia only possess minimum access to quality signals: in 2019, only 1.26% of villages in Dogiyai district had access to 4G signals.
