The poverty rate measures percentage of population living below poverty line. Poverty headcount obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) yearly publication, as well as the number of population. The figure in data is already in percentage.
National poverty rate has been dropping to just below 10% since 2018. In the most recent year, Papua has the highest poverty rate at about 26%. Meanwhile, Bali records the lowest rate at 3% and DKI Jakarta at 4%. 12 provinces still records above national rate (9.7%) and Eastern Indonesia quitely dominate the severe side.
